Bumper harvest of Ten-thousand Mu of willows in Tancheng County

4th of July, in Tancheng County, Shandong Province, two female farmers are laying the harvested willows (Salix) out to dry in fields.

In the middle of summer, Chinese 10-thousand Mu of well-known Salix integra (willows) in Tancheng County yielded a good harvest, with average grain output per mu of 460 Kilograms.

It is understood that willows processing cooperatives' purchase price is up to 9 yuan per kilogram, double that of country willow prices the same period last year.

Willow Salix is a deciduous shrub, with whose strips local farmers weave handicrafts exported to Europe, Southeast Asia and other countries and regions.
