Gifts Ideas for Gift Baskets

 

There are so many choices of gifts ideas for gift baskets that it can become confusing. So, here are some basic gift ideas that work for many different theme gift baskets.

 

When I'm working with a limited budget this is how I choose my gifts. I pick one nonfood gift that I know the recipient would like. If you have a specific theme in mind, you may want to select a gift that indicates that theme. Then I find small individually wrapped edible items and maybe a beverage or two. Then I pick a couple of less expensive items.

 

Some of my favorite small nonfood gifts for gift baskets are cd's, dvd's, scented candles, bath products, small books, paperweights, tea towels, pot holders, deck of cards, box calendars, key rings, drink coasters, swizzle sticks, straws, etc.

 

Suggestions for gift baskets for children are: bubbles, small games, books or puzzles, crayons, colored pencils, stickers, silly putty, play dough, sunglasses, and sand or beach toys.

 

It's nice to add some beverages and many are inexpensive. Tea bags, iced tea mixes, coffees, hot chocolate mixes, beer, wine, or champagne are all good choices. If you are using breakable bottles, read the information on my assembly page for details regarding placing the bottles. For children add cans of soda or juice boxes.

 

For those with a sweet tooth add small individually wrapped packages of cookies, chocolate candy, biscotti, truffles, mixes for cookies, muffins, brownies, jars of dipping chocolate or caramel, etc.

 

Don't forget to add small bags of snacks such as chips, pretzels, popcorn, and nuts.

 

You can add fresh fruit to your gift baskets if the fruit is not overripe and you present the gift basket soon after putting it together.

    •Party supply stores carry a variety of small, inexpensive gift baskets free delivery that can indicate your theme or add a decorative touch.

 

   •Mints or other small candies in small tin cans are nice gift basket products because they are decorative, unbreakable, and inexpensive.

 

    •If you are so inclined, it looks really nice to color coordinate the gift items with the colors you have chosen for filler materials, ribbons, bows, etc.
